They do melt! (Pics)

$70 per rim is a ton! I havn't actually polished mine yet (busy with exhaust - new cat and smog time) but I shined a lot of crap up on my Magna, and it's damn easy to do. Especially if you can get a hold of a die grinder and some buffing wheels.
that is $70 CDN a rim, so around $50 U.S.
i dont think that is a ton, i dont think u can buy new rims for that price. they look new to me anyways, a diff look.

I located a business here in Rochester, New York that took my factory rims, degreased, media blasted, sanded, powdercoated, and cleared coated them front AND back for $100.00 a rim. This was back to the standard silver metallic the way they came from the factory. I was amazed at the job this business did on these rims, it looked like he had just taken them out of the box when I went to pick them up. He has hundreds of colors available, but didn't have this exact silver so he sent to Oregon to get the correct color which took a little longer, but was well worth the wait.
Also, I had him do my valve covers as they had turned brown like so many others I have seen, and these also turned out excellent. This winter I'm going to have him do the plenum and runners along with assorted brackets. He did the valve covers for another $100.00 which to me was well worth it. Anyway, the business is Leland Powdercoating and the owners name is Paul Foster. Phone # is 585-254-2640 or email: plfoster@earthlink.net Paul is great to work with, prices are very reasonable, and you won't be disappointed, tell him Mark sent you!!!

doing it yourself is a lot more rewarding anyway like you said =)
