I just replaced my cam with a high performance one along with new valve springs. I am wondering if I need to look into a LT4 knock module instead of the LT1 that I have now. I heard that the LT4 one is more forgiving the the Lt1. Any thoughts, or have some of you done this before. BTW 96 LT1.
If you have the software, run a datalog and see if you are getting spark retard. If no spark retard is occuring, the LT4 K/M will work no better than your stock LT1 K/M.
Sometimes with a camshaft/rocker upgrade the engine's harmonics will increase. The LT4 K/M will help the knock sensors from retarding spark, from this extra noise.
