Most auto parts stores carry them, usually hanging on the rack in the HELP! section. I've seen them two in a package for less than $10.

One of them is 1/2" and the other 9/16", both are 12 point, box end.

Your engine takes the 9/16" one.

You just qualified to head the parts department at the San Diego Napa regional distribution center. You obviously know more than he does.

LOL, Naw, I just play with my distributor so often that it's easy to remember.

Metrics will fit too, I believe a 14mm is pretty close; may be a little on the tight side. I'm pretty sure a 15mm is too big though.

The distributor wrench itself is bent into an "L" shape so it fits nicely under the distributor housing. As I said, the kit comes with two wrenches and one little adapter. The adapter fits both wrenches and looks like a socket, has sort of a cross-hatch pattern on it but, unlike a socket, it has 3/8" square openings on both ends.

One square opening snaps onto the distributor wrench. I then install a 12" long 3/8" extension into the other square opening. I just attach my 3/8" ratchet to the extension and use the ratchet to loosen or tighen the bolt.

The use of the extension keeps my hands high up, well away from anything that's hot and from any obstacles like hoses and wires, etc.
