I am trying to finish up my hooker install, but I am running into lots of little "hang ups". After I pulled the driver's side exhaust manifold and cat, I see that the flang that the cat connected to is in the way of my header. I am wondering if I can unbolt that since it looks like it acts as a couple of grounds? At this point, I am tempted to just cut the flange and not mess with the grounding wires. Also, I don't see how to re-attach the alternator brace and compressor brace with the bolts supplied by Hooker?? Thanks for the help in advance!!

Also you will have a very hard time attempting to remove one of the bolts that holds the plate to the engine block. It is too close to the body to remove. Use a die grinder and a cut off wheel to whack it off.

After I removed those brackets and threw them away, I relocated those grounds. Some to the rear of the head and some to the block above the oil filter area extending them and replacing terminals as needed. The trans. bolts are enough fun without having wires on them too, I figured!
The LT1 has 4 brackets going back and forth from the engine to the alternator / compressor. With 2151's and provided spacres you can easily use 3 of them back. This is all you need, you won't get any of the dreaded vibration that some of noticed if you leave them all off.
well, I finished and I got it running! With no exhaust, and just the headers, this car is loud! I do have one problem. I seemed to have misplaced the connector to the compressor. Where should I look to try and trace this down?
