Default problem with dash-93

After doing some searching, I came across an old post from last October where a few people were having the same problems I'm having with the digital part of the dash. It will flash "sys" along with the security light 3 times every few seconds. Also it seems to make the car run really rich. I have replaced the sending units, burned several different chips and tried replacing the ecm but nothing has cured it. Most of the time the coolant temp says 108 to 112 and the oil temp stays around 170.

I was just wondering after I saw that old post if anybody finally fixed their problem or could point me in the right direction. I am about to get under the car and thoroughly check and possibly re-do all the ground wires to see if that helps.

Thanks,

KC

Well, hopefully I have fixed my problem. And first off, I apologize for being long-winded. I put in a new ecm last night only to have it not even fire the engine, so I figured either it was bad from the get-go (this is a continuation from the post "ecm fried?") or my brand new opti was dead. But, this morning, with the old ecm it fired right up and I still had the same problems. So I got under it, cleaned my grounds all up, which were soaked with oil and it seemed to help with the overly rich problem, but the digital gauges worked off and on along with a "sys" light and the service asr light. Since fixing the grounds seemed to help I decided to try the new ecm just to see if it was indeed dead, but much to my surprise, it ran even better and the gauges started working! So I went for a ride up the road and the display flashed "sys" a few times but didn't affect anything engine related. A little while later I tried to start it and the gauges went back to just reading "LO", and the engine would only run in limp-home mode, so I wiggled the connections on the ecm and the gauges started working and the service asr light went out. I don't know if this will fix anyone else's problems with this (it will probably only work a few days for me) but it is worth a shot.
