hi! the seatbelt warning light stayed on when i bought the car about 2 months ago.this is the only warning light that stays on.the fuel guage is also screwed up.it showed empty all the time until last week,when i got in and started up it went to full and stayed there.soon after i got the car i took it to a local mechanic to fix and he said he checked out everything up to the circuit board under the dash whewe he thinks the problem is. he says the seatbelt light and the fuel guage is connected somehow. he also said that the labor charge would be from 500-800 dollars. that gave me reason to tell him i would wait awhile on the repair.i thought maybe you guys might have an idea about the problem.--thanks---BW

My fuel guage just started acting up last week. It is likely that it is the sending unit attached to the level float. Apparently they are notorious for crapping out. I'm digging into mine tomorrow morning. If you prefer a DIY as I do there is a detailed tech tip that has been posted.

About the seatbelt light, Sometimes guys pull the INFL LIGHT out of the driver info center so they don't have to see it all the time. That just masks the problem. Does the car show any codes? Let us know whats up PIPE
