I have a 90 and the oil pressure gauge works sometimes, then suddenly it wont. Sometimes when it works the needle just moves around like crazy. Im told that it can be the sensor. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is located? All i know is that's it around the distributor.
And suggestions would be great!
You mean the sender. Its located at the back of the intake manifold, underneath/behind the distributor, you'll need to remove the cap or the wiper motor to get a wrench on it, as its a very tight fit. The thing looks like a small fuel filter.
There is another pressure switch right beside it that is smaller, I went ahead and replaced both of them.
Its also possible that the connector on the sending unit is bad, mine was, and you may need to cut & splice a new one on.
thank you very much for the quick reply. Your the first person that pointed out exactly where it is. I found both of them and will hopefully fix the problem with it. thanks again!
