Well it finally stopped raining up here in Canda and I got to take my 93 auto trans to the track. The first one was my best a 14 flat, I didn't think this was to bad for 2.59 gears. Speed is addictive I think I need a fall project of heads and a cam. We had to quit early as my son's Probe blew a cv. I got my best times leaving the trans in auto.

Do it once and it hooks ya. The heads and cam are a good idea it will really make your ride run. The 2.59 gears is what kills it. Maybe go to a 3.07 if ya don't mind givin up some gas mileage. You might want to put on a set of headers and a good set of mufflers then HANG ON GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PROJECT

the gears do blow, but not as much as you expect. my friends 94 auto ran mid/low 13's with stock 2.59's. I suggest long tubes and a full exhaust to get you started, follow up with the heads & cam...however if you yank the heads, a stroker is not that far away! we're taking a few more bolts and a couple of weeks at the machine shop (if your shop is slow)...you are only limited by your cashflow...several built 383's have made damn good numbers and usually pickup some mileage if built properly!
