Question for the brake and suspension gurus out there......
Is it possible to swap out/replace the internal parking brake hardware and calipers on the early C4's with the later model integral caliper/p-brake? Is this at all possible??

Possible but very expensive and won't even make a noticeable difference in braking performance. One company does make everything needed to convert the rears and retain a park brake. Convert the fronts and forget the rears.

It can be done. Should be able to get by with the new calipers, and just the cables from the parking brake handle to the calipers and the 1988+ spindle bracket.
DRM, is the company that makes a new spindle bracket to bolt up a front 13" caliper on the rear. But you lose the parking brake entirely.
I'm building an autocross-only car. I don't really need to worry about
having a working E-brake, and I'm trying to keep the weight of the car
as low as possible. I'd like to use the later C4 suspension, but found a
potential deal on an earlier C4 suspension. Just wondering if I should
keep looking or get this one and upgrade the calipers and brackets at a
later date........

Hell if you're doing that then and don't care about a park brake, switch to C5 stuff. Once you've made the initial investment for the bracket adapters, pads and rotors are about half the price of C4 stuff.

I'd love to go the C5 route.................but this is an altered wheelbase car. The weight distribution would be excellent, but I don't know of any one/any way to shorten up the torque tube.
Now if the TT could be shortened, I'd go that route in a second!

By TT do you beam the "C" beam?
If so this can be cut and redrilled-others have done it.
Rodj -- For the C4's, you are correct -- cutting the "C" beam isn't a problem.....Corvette Kid was referring to the C5 rear which has the torque tube connecting the engine to the transaxle/diff........
