I was doing some rattle search and destroy and found that my pass side caliper wiggles when I grab it not back and forth but up and down.Looking at the FSM it seems like the pad bias spring is either broken or bent.Is this the likely culprit?
i have the same thing to my front right one. som eguys told me theres anti rattle clips that are suppose to be there. but i haven't found a source for them yet???????????? napa was a strike out.

My right side caliper actually came completely loose. There is a pin at the bottom that holds it in place and it was badly worn. I replaced the pin and it seemed to solve the problem. However, the pin supports the pads, not the caliper - the pads hold the caliper in place. So you may want to replace the pads at the same time as they may have some wear.
When you service the brakes, you should clean the existing pin and clip, or replace with new. A rusty or corroded pin will cause the caliper to not move as it should.
New clips come on some pads and not on others; mostly I've had them come with new clips.
Try your local AC Delco supplier for pads with the clips as well as a new caliper pin & C-clip. Auto Zone will have an anti-rattle gell that you apply to the outside of the outer pad.
