I have a 94 vette that has split BLM's under decelleration and part throttle. I have a BBK throttle body, cc 306 cam. I have read that these can cause split BLM's. I have replaced both of my O2s and it helped but not a complete fix. I used bosch O2s from Autozone. My right side is close to 25% lean under decell or part throttle. The right O2 before replacement was 4mv now it bounces between 900-400mv. I have checked for exhaust leaks and vaccum leaks. I also do not have cats on the car and still run the back O2 sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think the big question is, does it cause you any problems? I know it is somewhat a matter of pride to have your car behave exactly the way it did when stock as far as scan tool is concerned but there has to be a breaking point.
My car has had the split BLM problem for years and none of the supposed solutions work at all. I finally just gave up. I pulled them as close in line as possible and just decided that it would be close enough.
If you do figure out something that works please let me know. BTW I have the Holley TB and a Hot Cam.
