Dart Pro Heads???
Thanks,

I am looking at the 200's but I am going to 383. I was told that if you go above 200 that you have gasket problems with it lining up to the intake manifold without modifications to it or something. I called Dart, and talked to several machine/mechanics around here, and aside from weight differences, as long as you are not running like 12:1 compression or something there is no difference in the cast ones and the aluminum ones, despite what some people on here will say. There is about a 50 lb difference and about a $300 difference.

If you are ever going to MR, and/or going 383, I'd just get those 180s ported.
Also, on a 350 I think you will be fine with the 200s, you may get bogged down a little bit in lower RPMs but with the SR it may not be such a bad thing. Also, you could go 180s, I heard of a guy someone knew over in the Engine section that built a 500hp 383 using 180cc intake heads. So it really depends on your intake and cam selection. I would just personally go 200cc, cause we all know that 350 is gonna be a 383 sooner or later. Just some advice, not the law!
That is almost my exact same setup. I have a ZZ4 crate motor with the LT4 Hotcam and 1.6 RR. My gears are 3.54. How do you like the 200's down in the low end i.e. driving around town? What stall are you using with that also? Is there a big difference between the Iron vs the Aluminum heads as far as flow? I like the heat transfer properties of the Al head and also the weight loss! Guess I could always go on a diet!
Thanks,
Doug

Apologies for the hijack.

i felt little loss of low end grunt, after drove for 600 miles on new mod's
i should say dat 200cc r pretty big size heads, my combo slightly a
mismatch but still pretty good driveability, but oh boy after 2500 rpm
man its a blast pull very hard, after 300o rpm its a beast atleast to me.
so, with ur 3.54 gears it would definetly be a good driveability.
just do good dyno tune mine still a mail order chip running little rich.
my vote for 180 if u staying with 350 until it broke otherwise
200cc will sure for 383 if u have plan in future.

Excellent choice!
