Condensor fan not working,HELP!

What is a condenser fan? The A/C fan under the dash would be for the evaporator. The fan closest to the condenser is the engine axillary cooling fan, if your car is is equipped.

How hot is hot? My 1984 Factory Service Manual doesn't show the specs for the fan operation or the wiring schematic for your 1985, but your's should. The fan MAY not be supposed to come on until about 235*. I don't know if the aux fan is triggered on an '85 by the A/C or not. Your manual will tell you. The first, and simplest test is to remove the wire from the auxiliary fan temperature switch and ground it. If that runs the fan, then you know that the fan motor and relay are operational.
