Default dfi gen 6

In closed loop...............base fuel map view....,at the bottom is the closed loop air/fuel..............I get a solid bar from about 13 too the 14.7...........does that mean it's correcting the fuel air too 14.7 from 13 OR the fuel/air is 13 ? My fuel milage is bad and I don't think the ecu is correcting or is it? Also no matter what I number I plug in for rad fan turn on it won't turn on fans(using a low temp engine block fan swtch now)...............thanks for the past help guys I'm getting the hang of this system and just fine tunning...............thanks for this forum ..................OK just thought of another thing...I'm getting a slight engine surge at 1600 ,1700 rpm light throttle....

That bar indicates apparent AFR that the O2 sensor is seeing at the time. As far as I can tell it isn't very accurate. Use a wide band system to tune with, that is the best way. Install a bung into the exhaust stream close to the header collector and before any CATs. Accel basically do not support the old Gen 6 stuff anymore. If you can get through on their tech line, ask for Mike Hartsel. He knows the old system and is willing to help.

thanks tom......I am using a wide band for tuning the fuel map(you sold it to me)......I just don't thing the dfi is correcting or it's to far off to correct or it is correcting?.......using a dfi is way cool because of the ease of changes but getting instruction for non normal qustions is frustrating.........I gave up on Mr. gasket......this forum is my only hope..........I also have all of the books which are general instructions.

I forgot I must be getting old.....there is a book out specifically for the Gen 6 systems. And it is available through Barnes and Noble or Amazon. It is pretty concise, I don't have a copy but I have seen it. I think its their DFI class instructor that author'd it. Do a search on Amazon for: Ray Bohacz
