I know technically, this is not the right place for this, but I thought I would offer here as this is where most members know me.
I have the previous complete kit off of my yellow '87 roadster. The kit comes with all of the usual bits and pieces from ATI (blower, brackets, tubing, booster pump, IC, etc), but with some noteworthy changes.
- modified air bonnet to allow tubing to accomodate vette install with a superram
- "super FMU" with -6AN feed and discharge lines and fittings (no hose clamps here, just A/N fittings"
- several pullies that were rated from ATI from 12psi to the smaller unit at 21 psi (though on my install large cam, heads and intake saw 4 psi and 11 psi on the different pullies)
- modified brackets to allow ~300+° belt wrap
All parts vary in use. Blower probably has less than 2K miles, IC less than 1.5K miles, piping 5K miles, FMU, 2.5K miles, etc. THe unit worked well, but I upgraded parts all along the way until every item purchased in the original kit has been replaced.
Not one reply? I guess everyone has all of the HP they need.
I could probably make someone a good deal on the instal as well, if they lived fairly close. Bolting one of these ATI units on, is a cakewalk once you have done it a few times.

I see early C4 and think pre 88 only. Can I assume you mean pre 92? You'll have to pardon my ignorance as I am not too well versed with the SC's and can't see why this wouldn't work on any L98.

I'm interested alright.... Just about 45-60 days before I can spend any money... Sorry, but I'm saving up to buy a C6 in a few weeks. After the smoke clears (from my bank account) I'll be ready to play with the C4 again.
I'll keep this thread subscribed, and if it's still available, I'll drop you a line... But I don't want to get you hopes up about a sale anytime soon t me.
Good luck though.
And as far as an install goes... How much would you charge? I know people in Houston (I lived close to there in grade school). I might be willing to drive in/fly home and then fly back/drive home.
Early C4 was in reference to the fact that it has the large single IC. 90-91 used the small twin IC. It came off of my '87 and would fit 85-88/89 (depending how early of an '89).
Fozzy,
I may still have the unit at that time. I am not working too hard to push the unit. Just finally no longer using any of the parts. Last item used was the bell going from the 2.5" tub to the 4.5" inlet to the TB.
The kit is listed on ATIs website as 85-91 Vette TPI 12 psi. When you actually order a kit, that is when they differentiate the early L-98 ('85-e'89) vs later L-98 (l'89 - '91). The difference between the 8 psi and the 12 psi is that the 8 psi had no IC, while the higher boost models came with the IC (pulley change for 10 vs 12 psi). The system uses the ATI IC and the P-600B head unit.
I was looking for a price in the $3,500 range, but am willing to consider any reasonable offer. Please note that it does include a few mods from the original kit (i.e. blower bracket mods, FMU mods, and mod to the TB Bell for use on SR intake).
Thanks for the interest.

The kit is still available. I have not heard from the guy with "cash in hand" for several days. I really would like to see someone put this blower to good use.

Aaron,
I'm interested in parts of your blower kit (i.e., fuel system)...please advise if you're interested in parting it out.
Chris
I was looking to pickup a set of fuel rails....but after re-reading the list of parts, they weren't listed. Besides, my car recently developed a head gasket leak and the fuel system changes I was thinking about have found their way to the back burner.
You can pick up a set fuel rails on ebay for 25-50$ . I got mine for $50
Bruce,
Are you speaking of fuel rail stock (i.e. just the fuel rail tube, no injectors drilled, nor any end connections)? Or are you speaking of drilled fuel rails? The last set I had done cost $250 with the proper injector spacing and -10AN in/out on each, plus the mounting tabs to be able to mount to the manifold.
I don't have any to sell, but if there is a cheaper place to find them, I would certainly b interested for future purchases.

The rail I am speaking of are factory stock rails. I bought them because mine 1993 fuel rail are very strictive because 1992-1993 model yrs vette, GM put in stupid 3/8 tubing inside them.
1994-1996 rails are 9/16 diameter thru out the rail. I drill out the ends and welded in -08AN fitting.
The 2nd set rail are Holley for use on Stealth ram set up
