Default C5 conversion help

I started the C5 brake conversion and all was going great until I went to install the last two bolts and found out I didn’t get them . They are the bolts that screw into the guide pins and hold the caliper on. They are the (2) in the bellow diagram. Chris is a great guy but I think they must come with the calipers you order from them and I got a used set so I am SOL unless I can find them local tomorrow. Any one has the P/N for them? It would be a big help. BTW the brackets from Eddie Salinas where works of art. Also does anyone know what pad the shim goes on, the inner or outer? (It is the thin stick on pad)

They don't look like special bolts, perhaps someone else who has C5 brakes can chime in here with the size and you can just get some from a hardware store.
I plan on doing this swap to my C4, how much are the brackets from Ed?

Good luck.

I think they where $139 but don't quote me. I know that number is close and a lot cheaper then anyone else.

I think he has the guide pins and just needs the bolts.

Try the bolts from your C4 brakes.

I believe they are the same, C4, C5 Malibu, Cavalier and on down the line.....Because you remove one to do a pad replacement, a new set of GM pads comes with two (one for each side) prepped with threadlocker. I never paid much attention but they certainly all seemed to be the same size. Add your own threadlocker, I believe red is the color they use.

Never saw that, I have my bolts from my 85 stock brakes on my C5 fronts right now.

8M 1.25 is the bolt spec. Measure for length.

They come with flanges, you can use washers instead. Local hardware store should be able to set you up or even a pep boys type of place may have them with the flanges as that seems to be a mostly automotive specific feature.

Make sure you use grade 8, avoid the cheap chrome bolts.

Learn something everyday, I despise those little e-clips. If they jump off while your removing/installing, forget about it, best to just have a bunch of spares.
