The displacements/strokes don't necessarily have to be the same.. it depends on the springs inside the cylinder.

The stiffer primary spring, the less fluid is displaced to the rears. Also keep in mind this part has nothing to do with the bias though (supposedly).

Actually I would also think the springs are there to make sure the pistons are pushed back into start position when the brake goes back to the start position, especially incase of a leak in one of the brake lines. However, I understand how you mean when you say the stroke can be different between the front and rear brakes :-P

Never mind the stroke, anyone have the MC primary/secondary diameters in their handybook?

If you decide to do a J55 conversion let me know. I did it to my 85 and can help you with the adapter brackets you will need.

sorry to hijack the thread, but anyone know how much performance difference between J55 and the C5 setup? trying to decide on upgrades myself, and i would have to spend extra $$$ on A-molds if i go C5.
