The stiffer primary spring, the less fluid is displaced to the rears. Also keep in mind this part has nothing to do with the bias though (supposedly).
Actually I would also think the springs are there to make sure the pistons are pushed back into start position when the brake goes back to the start position, especially incase of a leak in one of the brake lines. However, I understand how you mean when you say the stroke can be different between the front and rear brakes :-P

sorry to hijack the thread, but anyone know how much performance difference between J55 and the C5 setup? trying to decide on upgrades myself, and i would have to spend extra $$$ on A-molds if i go C5.
