Default American muscle coming back?

So what do you guys think?

It seems to me that american muscle just may be back. I mean lets face it. For the longest time in the 80's and pretty much up to about 2001 (or '02), there weren't too many 400 hp cars readily available (yes, there was a few). It seems with the upcoming release of the 427 C6 ZO6, Shelby GT500, the Ford GT, and some of the new MOPAR's (425 hp 300C, and the new Charger and such, Viper included) that american muscle is coming back. Motors are getting bigger and bigger in american cars these days. Who knows, the famed 454 (obviously not in a 'vette in the past) could be back in the C7 for all we know. We seem to think that 500 hp is nothing these days with the ZO6, the viper, and the GT, and the GT500 knocking on the door. I would also love to see the Camaro and the Trans Am (and possibly a pontiac car to run with the 'vette) come back with the LS2 or maybe a next-gen LS3 or whatever it could possibly be.

So......I'm
Let's see what everyone else thinks.

The 454 did make an appearance in the vette. I believe it was the LS5 in '70 @ 390hp and the LS6 in '71 @ 425hp.
