Power steering hose blows
I stroked out my C4 engine -- it now redlines at 6500--on tight race courses I routinely blow the power steering hose (OEM) and with it goes the PS pump. What an expensive mess!
Where can I obtain C4 heavy duty or metal braided power steering hoses stronger than OEM that can withstand the higher pressure that I must be generating at the higher RPM. I really don't want to make my own hoses.
Other suggestions or comments welcome.

resulting loss of traction. There is also the risk of
fire in the engine compartment - I can't find the
link now but I remember seeing the aftermath of
a car that burned after heat from the headers melted
the solder holding the cap tower of a conventional
(non-C4) GM p/s pump. Oiling down the track
regularly must also be hard on your social life at the
races, too.
The HP to turn the pump faster could be more usefully
directed to the rear wheels. I agree with better hoses
for safety but what about slowing down the p/s pump,
as well? One way to get this is with a smaller crank
pulley (preferably alum). I don't know whether
a larger p/s pulley is available - if not, perhaps one
could be fabbed to fit in the space available to
address the other side of the equation for slowing
down the pump.

hoses, much less info about a special offer.
Perhaps it is an unadvertised deal ?

I drilled in without scrolling down the home page
and then had been rooting around in the links in
the menu to the left and in the footers. Might be
an idea to add links to the specials from those
locations, too.
Thanks for assistance (and the deals).

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Regarding the ps pump, I just had mine rebuilt by a company called "Turn One". They build a lot of pumps for NASCAR. Cost to rebuild my old pump was $125, just a little more than a reman unit. I can't vouch for how well the pump performs since the car is on jackstands for suspension tweaks
Since the pump reduces fluid flow, I do know that the steering effort at low rpms will be greater than stock. Here's a link to their website: http://www.turnone-steering.com/pumps.html Since the Corvette pump is unique, you'll need to call them. I worked with a tech named "Jeff". They turned the rebuild around in less than a week.
