Default Another A/C question

I was trying to find out why my A/C clutch wasn't engaging and I finally decided it was the pressure cycling switch. So I bypassed it and the compressor engaged. I monitored the pressures and both the low and high side increase from 30lb to 60lb and stay there. Is this a compressor problem or something more simple. I really hope it's something simple like a clogged dryer or something but I don't know how to diagnose something like this. Thanks in advance A/C gurus.

As a rule of thumb, high side should be 2.2 to 2.5 times the outside air temp. At these pressures, the low should stay around 25 to 30. If you've got 30, then 60 or equal pressures on both the high and the low, the compressor is shot. Ditto if the high is 60 and the low is 30, though that's about impossible to achieve, even with a broken compressor.
