Coming of hard has just resulted in tirespin....even easing into full throttle still breaks the tires when the motor is cool and the track is untreated...
Yeah, your practically leaving off idle.. I would get some nice tires.
I am running Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 285/35-18 on rear....not nice??
I think this video also demonstrate a reasonable amount of low end torque......could always be more.......but I don't think it is too bad at the low end.......there was some question that my setup would be lacking in low end torque....

For nice tires, I assume he was referrencing some drag radials. As for low end torque, if you are blowing off the tires now, you may be OK for a true street tire set up. If you are going to keep those tires, it'll just take practice with the right RPM and feathering the clutch. I actually am better doing that with my Firestones than I am launching on DRs - just more practice. I'd think it wouldn't take much to get 1.90s on those tires and into the 1.70s on drag radials, again with some practice. One thing DRs did for me was minimize the big spin I would get hitting second. That seemed to help the ET quite a bit.
