Just bought 87 coupe... need help
Just bought an 87 coupe. was in storage shed for @ 2 years. First things first ordered Helms manual, and electrical manual, (cause God knows I need it.) I have been browsing the forum and have found it very useful so far. I am starting first on trying to get the digital dash to work. read the thread to check ground wire. Also, can somebody give more info on changing out the dash bulbs on 87 cluster. GLAD I SOLD MY STANG CONVERT!!!!!

Dash bulbs are Sylvania 882, there are 4.
Remove the plastic bezel covering the dash, and then you'll see 4 small silver tabs on the unit, the bulbs are underneath. The tabs twist slightly and come out, but pull the bulbs straight out.
Do not touch the new bulbs with your fingers, skin oils cause them to get hotter and burn out fast.

The **** comes off yes, theres a little tab on it that you can press in with a flathead screwdriver and it comes off.
