Default Hot Or Not ???

WE have a 1986 it seems to me that it runs alittle hot to day sitting in traffic it was runing around 240 248 is this normal or do i need to give smothing a look thanks

You should post this in C4 tech rather than here.

It is a bit high. How high it is depends on your ambient temps and how hard you were driving it before slowing down into traffic.

First thing to check is the space in front of the radiator which is often full of trash.

If it hasn't had a recent flush and fill do that.

I think you can get a switch that will turn on the fans at lower temps.

Given the age you might need a new radiator.
