Well guys and gals i once again need help. This time its with a 94 Formula, no not a Corvette, but LT1 powered and since i don't know of a more knowledgable set of people, here goes. The car is a 94 LT1 auto and it has a new starter, recent (less than 6 months old) opti cap and rotor, ignition module, water pump, plugs, wires, and fuel lines.
The car when cold starts and runs and then just shuts off without warning. It makes no noise, no signs, no anything, just as if you turned the key off. When put on the comptuer it shows no codes or anything. Lately, it seems to die quicker and quicker.
Haven't yet checked for spark after it does it, or fuel pressure because its not my car and the person that does own has neither the tools of the knowledge but I will do that tomorrow.
Someone said the fuel filter may be at fault. I doubt that since that would probably cause a studder or loss of perfomance rather than just a quick smooth shut off.
My hunch for some reason is that it may be the coil...My previous GTA had a similar problem but that has the L98 so i know there are differences between the two.
Any comments, opinions, and great ideas are greatly appreciated and thanks in advance,
Could very well be the fuel filter. sitting it builds up just enough pressure to start then it drops. Had a ford do just that. Check your FP or just change the filter.
