Default along day need a torque spec

well today i replaced the half shaft joints and both rear wheel bearings. my shop manual says the spindle nut is torqued to 160, but i remember a discussion on the forum saying that the torque was wrong. i tried to search for it, but couldn't find it. help, help, help

oh yeah, thank you "myvettesblue" for the direction on the wheel bearings.

Anywhere between 160 and 200 ft lbs is fine, I torque mine to 180. The more important thing that I have found is to retorque them after about 1000 miles, especially the aftermarket ones. I have found that this will greatly extend their life.

Cheers,

Lawrence
