Default Tire recommendation

I have a 86 coupe, stock rims, want to replace tires 255/50-16 any suggestions. Will be pretty much a weekend car, no racing or exremely hard driving. Thinking of putting on BF Goodrich G-Force sport Z's. Any one have any experience with this tire or any tires to stay away from?

Also I broke the rear bearing hub bolt (T-55) M12*1.75 * ~3" under the head know where I can get on. GM discontinued it but they have one for a 88-96 will this fit?

Judging from your intended use, you should be satisfied with this tire.

I have BF Goodrich KDW on my '89. They work real well. Very sticky.I love them. Not too much noise from me, but then again everything rattles on these cars anyway so noise tolerance levels are subjective. I have about 10K on them so far and they are wearing well. I'd go to www.tirerack.com and do a comparision. They have lots of reviews, etc. for different brands.

Good luck,
Christ

I just bought a set of wheels and tires from AFS. My car had a near new set of Goodyear Eagle GS-C on it so I bought mainly for the new wheels. The new wheels I bought were a wheel and tire package with Sumitomo HTRZ tires. The Sumitomo's are quiet and smooth compared to the Goodyear super sticky too.

You should check out AFS. I got a set of wheels and tires for $972.00 on ebay. I am 100% satisfied. This is what I bought.

Best bang for your buck is the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712. Will cost you less then $100 apiece.

If you cant get the bolt from a parts yard, mcmaster.com has allen head ones. $8 for 10.

part #91290A635

I'd rather have a torx head though, it won't strip as easy.
