Default Piston Selection

I just recieved the prognosis from my mechanic - My pistons in my 92 are toast...

My question is this - which ones should I replace them with? The engine is a Lingenfelter 383, and I run nitrous...

Good choice, there are others too. You can't afford to skimp here for your purposes. Why are your pistons cooked? You want to make sure you don't have a reoccurence.

I am not sure why you would run a blower piston unless you are trying to shave a bunch of compression or you have a super small combustion chamer cylinder head. I would recommend JE, SRP/JE or Ross pistons only because I have run these pistons in high powered nitrous engines and they have all worked great. A word of caution...make sure you are 100% sure which rod you have before you order your pistons because Lingenfelter built a ton of engines with a 5.850 rod length combination. If you are using lots of nitrous also consider a piston specifically designed for nitrous use (Ring lowered). If you are doing a rebuild I highly recommend you invest in Cometics head gaskets.

Happy hot rodding!
