I've been having problems with a Delteq installation on my early '93 vette which has a gen 6 DFI. When cold the system works well. However at operating temperature it runs rough and we actually lose spark briefly between 1800/2000 rpm. Delteq has been extremely helpfull in attempting to solve our problem. Any electronics expert out there with input would be appreciated.
The Delteq on my 93 work flawlessly. Only last week my plug wire boot gone bad and it giving me miss. I put in new set of plug wires and everything are back to normal again. The only thing is different between mine and yours is your DFI Gen 6. I am still using the factory ECM.
Hmmmmm, this sounds a little familure. Try holding the car at the spot where you are losing spark, sounds like 1900 RPM's. If it is a constant miss, believe me you will know what i am talking about if it happens and your tach will bounce all over the place. That is test one the second test is to run the car up and decelerate and watch the tach and see if it goes a little crazy when passing past the dead spot. If these two thins happen then I am willing to bet you have a bad opti, ask me how i know. Do a search on my screen name for archive post started by me and you will find a simmilar problem I had. My problem was at a little higher RPM but the opti was the problem. Here is my dyno run with the miss, notice the downward spike at 3600 RPM, that was the dead spot in the opti. Same deal it would run fine untill it got hot then it had a miss. Hope this helps, BTW Pete is familure with my problem.
