ABS whirring sound ?
My 87 has not been driven for a few months,after taking it for a drive,I
found a whirring sound comming from the ABS unit.It would not stop so I had to disconnect the battery to shut it up.Could this be something to do with the testing pump or relay on the ABS? Please don't tell me it's going to cost mega dollars to fix.Would appreciate any help!

My car makes that sound every time when I first move, only for a second though. It is the ABS test start up. Perhaps the relay is bad. I don't have a full service book yet so I can't say the exate locations. Trace some of the wiring? I remember reading the the test is relays opening and closing plus excerising the pump.

Yes it was stored inside.What is the best way to clean the contacts?
