Default Hoosier R compound help!

just picked up a set of wheels and tires - Hoosier R compound DOT - must be 303's but I can't see that designation anywhere. Anyway the rotation arrows and mounting directions show that these tires are mounted "flopped" with the 2 tread grooves being on the outside of the tire if it is put on the car as is. I'm trying to get ready for an autoX tommorrow morning - do I need to get these switched? How important is it? I need an immediate response because I will need a tire shop open - like now! if i need to switch em.

Help!

If they're mounted so they're rotating backwards, you can switch your wheels around to get them rotating correctly.

Long term, I'd have them remounted at the shop. Your wheels are directional, and if they're backwards, the shop made a mistake and should fix them.

Except the rims are directional. essentially the tire says mount this face inside - and they are all mounted outside.

The two grooves that are offset on the tread surface should be on the inside on the car when mounted. My older Hoosier R3S03's have arrows on the sidewalls that point in both directions but the arrows also have "Mount Left Side" or Mount Right Side" under the arrrow depending on the direction the arrows are facing.

This allows the tire to be used on either side of the car, but if the installer paid attention and was told that 2 wheels were for the left side and two for the right side, the tires should have been mounted correctly.

I would take them back and have them re-mounted correctly. If necesaary, label the wheels Left and Right and do the same for the tires and even take some billboard chalk and mark the tire sidewall as "Inside" or "Outside".
