Hey all- my 1996 has new pads, bedded, shimmed and blue-gooed. The right front still whistles horribly from 10 MPH to a stop. It is not a rotational grind- it is some type of harmonic vibration, because it stays at full volume all the way to 0 MPH sometimes. I even took off the new pads warning spikes, since they vibrate sometimes.

If you don't need a super high performance pad, switch to ceramics. I too cannot stand ANY brake noise and I've never had it on either of my cars since changing to them. Also they're low dusting. I've also found them to perform well when hot and have never experienced fade with them, even during extended hard running in the mountains. And this was back before I had C5 brakes.
Hmmmm. Good point. Hey when you do your pads, do you take the calipers off, or do you just pop the c-clip pin? Any benefits to R+Ring the calipers for cleaning or lubing?
