My '89 ac press on the low side shoots up with too much pressure. I know there is a filter somewhere in the system that may be blocked up. Anyone have a diagram of the a/c system and what to check. I think the filter is the orfice tube?? possibly? and if so where is it?
When the a/c system is on the low side ports reads low refrigerant and when it is off it shoots up into the red reading system malfunction so I think there is a blockage or something.
edit:
I took vette to friend who ownes a shop. He used a a/c machine and evacuated the system, it help -30 under vaccume, then refilled. a/c works like a champ and is cold as ice.. all for $40...
