Where to buy X pipe or just have one made?
Looking to get rid of my resonator.
I have seen Magnaflow X pipes on ebay for a decent price.
But a forum member mentioned that he just had one made at a local muffler shop.
Any advice appreciated!

Try www.drgas.com I remember a few people looking here for one. Mine was also made at the muffler shop. Couldn't be happier!

I would imagine Magnaflow would "MAYBE" be a little more calculated with research studies before their fabrication over a muffler shop wleding two pipes but really don't know for sure!!!!
I might even depend on the actual muffler shop fabricating the X-Pipe.
Hell, I don't know.... Someone please chime in, I'm looking for one too!!!!!!!

Kevin, there's an exhaust shop down on main street that did mine. The guy fabricated my x-pipe and made it adapt to my headers for $100. It would probably cost you even less if it already mates to your headers.
Is it perfectly engineered? Probably not. Does it look as good as some of the other units out there, no. Does it work, well let me just say I'm not giving up any horsepower to my exhaust. I certainly couldn't beat the price anywhere.

Dr. Gas makes great X pipes, but you would need to supply him with measurements for what you want. He has my CAD drawing for a B&B system X pipe replacement. Ask for Neal at Dr. Gas.

You might still want to look at main street to install it for ya. Unless you know somebody who can weld it up for free, you can't beat their price. If you talk real nice to Mr. Coulter he might can do it for you cheaper.

Skip the X pipe, cut out the front mufflers, then install a Magnaflow a 5" x 8" Oval Dual/Dual Stainless Steel Universal Muffler, p/n 14468, in its place. This muffler provides a Tru-X Perforated Core, i.e. an internal X pipe. From the muffler, just run a pair of open tubes to the rear of the car. That's what I did, and the whole thing cost about $200. Plus it has a much more pleasant sound than Flowmasters.
