self-aligning vs non self-aligning RR's
Is there any disadvantage to using self-aligning roller rockers? My new Brodix heads are scheduled to arrive here on Monday, and now I'm looking at roller rockers. The new heads come with guideplates, but then I'd have to switch to hardened pushrods. Also, it seems to me that guideplates would cause a certain amount of friction loss and accelerated wear. I was thinking about maybe taking the guideplates off and using the pushrods already in the motor if they all check out. Would this be foolish? Thanks

If the heads come with hardened guide plates it's far cheaper to go with non self aligning RRs plus hardened push rods than to pull the guide plates and go with self aligning.
Price out some ProMagnum RRs both ways and then a set of push rods and you will see what I mean.
I prefer the non self aligning RRs myself.
