Default R-D racing - Dave - help! 5 point

Hey Dave,
Carl Johansson here. Looking at my options it became clear that the best way to deal with the belt issue is to just order another set of 5 points with a cam lock for my brother - in the mean time I will install the ones you sent last month.

So in the kit are a couple of 10.9 bolts - a long one -(maybe 4 inches) and a short one - about 2.5 inches (i'm working off of memory here!) Are these suposed to be used to replace the factory belt mounting bolts? I could see using the short one on the female (reciever) side - and the long one with the included spacer would be used to fit under the plastic Box that holds the retractor setup on the male side. (so you would mount the belts without removing the factory set-up?)

If this is not right you need to correct me before I go to far astray! also included was some thin triangle claw shaped pieces of metal about 1.5 inches long- what are they for?

To mount the crotch strap - I know you need 4" plates inside and outside the car - do I put some sort of eye bolt through that to anchor the crotch strap. also I would assume I need to weld in each of the plates, correct? And to put in the eye bolt anchor - just drill it and use some big washers to spread the load?

Thanks for your help - and your products - attention to detail and safety !

Hey Carl,

Sorry I missed your post, I've been buried in the shop trying to get the Camber-brace orders completed.

Your right on on the lap belt anchors. The center strap can be mounted the way you mentioned or by using one of our center strap mounts, which also doubles as a fire extingusher mount.

Give me a call if you have any questions.

Dave
