Default questions about computer

i would like to know if anyone is famillier with these
Accel DFI PowerProcessor here...
i am trying to figure out what computer i want to run with and like the idea of it retaining stock ECM remains on-board to control all other functions such as instrumentation, diagnostics, electronic exhaust emissions controls, torque converter lock-up, etc.
but does that mean i will still need to burn chips and this is just for wot or is this a good solution, or should i just go another direction? any advise is appretiated. thanks
o p.s. this will be for a stroker motor.

Honestly, I don't know how or why they are still selling those setups for anything but a street rod. There really isn't much that the stock ECM can't be programmed to do.
