Default 84 vette missing problems

My 84 is missing a little but getting worse. When I accelerate it almost disappears, but when I am at a constant speed say around 40mph you can feel it bad. I have replaced the plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor cap. I looked at the injectors yesterday and they seem to be spraying fine. I am thinking its the distributor itself? Would appreciate anyones input! Thanks!

Try removing and plugging the vacuum line to the EGR and see if it goes away.

Unplugged hose from EGR valve to EGR solenoid, no vac. Checked from injector to EGR solenoid plenty of vac. Guess EGR solenoid is bad?

NO! The ECM opens the solenoid and applies vacuum to the EGR when it is supposed to open. The EGR SHOULDN'T receive vacuum at idle. Now, can you simply plug one of the EGR vacuum lines (it doesn't matter which) and go for a ride??? Is the problem, better? Worse? Or the same?

RACE ON!!!

Plugged hose coming from EGR valve went for a ride, seems problem was the same or a little worse, actually hesitated once. I also pushed up on the egr valve diaphram from underneath while in idle and the rpms dropped. I appreciate the help CFI EFI, you have helped me before and You were right then when everyone else was telling different things! So again I appreciate it!
