Default 3-4 clutch pack bad
I had a transmission guy drive my car because it is not shifting till 70 or so. Does this sound like a clutch pack and would this require a complete rebuild. 1200-1700 price range for all the work and new convertor

Late shifting is not a clutch pack issue. Slipping is a clutch problem.

What gear is it shifting to at 70? From 2nd to 3rd and at a high rpm? What year? If so it may be governor related or something to do with the throttle valve. Has there been any work done to the trans lately?

89 no trans work im not sure what gear it shifts now it was shifting at 70 at like 4200 but not doing that anymore
