How to adjust AFR Guide Plates

What is the criteria for adjusting AFR guide plates on chevy 180 heads? Should both rockers be at the same angle? ANY help approceiated. TIA

Usually no adjustment is necessary. Sometimes you may have to loosen the two studs to center the guide plates. On some applications I use the Isky adustable guide plates. This is especially true when using their 210cc heads and up.

I had to adjust my AFR 190 cc by loosening the rocker studs to keep the pushrods from touching the wall on the head. In my case, pushrod contact with head was more my concern than the Rocker angle.

I have had to use Iskys adjustable plates on more than one set of AFRs for that very reason. They should make them standard equipment.
