i have been having trouble with fuel pressure bleeding down on my 91. fuel pump, fuel reg, and injecters from 5-o-motorsports all are a yr old. 40psi to 15psi in 7mins. now i noticed my idle goes up and down almost stalls. i did pinch off the supply from the tank but made no diffrence. fuel reg is fine also. can i pull plugs and see if any are wet????????????
As for the pressure loss, the check valve in the pump might have failed.

That is the test for the check valve. If the pressure still drops off with the supply line crimped, then it has to be either the regulator or the injector(s).
Is there gas coming from the vacum line off of the fpr? For me I had a problem with the fuel pressure dropping out. Changed the filter, problem solved. My car has FI, but I did have issues with my fuel pump as well. Is your fuel pump operating correctly? (I.E. getting 13.5 volts?) If it has a short or is just crapping out it won't be able to keep up with the demand of the fuel injectors.

All C4's are "FI"

The fuel pump has nothing to do with it. There is no complaint of inadequate fuel pressure, running. Just that the fuel pressure bleeds down after the engine (and the fuel pump) is shutoff.

RACE ON!!!
Oh d'oh! I meant "F"orced "I"nduction as in I run a booster to pump additional fuel to my thirsty injectors. I didn't read the post clearly enough...as usual your wisdom trumps mine CFI . BTW, thanks a million for helping me with tracking down my problem, she's running excellent now!
