Default Locked out! (On one side...)

For some reason, my passenger-side door will not let me use my key to unlock or lock it! It was working just fine the other day. Has this ever happened to anyone? I need help! *cries*

If the key will go into the lock you may need to remove the door panel to see what's up and lube/repair the mechanism.

BTW, this reminds me of a scene in Family Guy where he was "locked in" his car.

Local auto parts stores have those keepers.

My '88 does not have a keyed cylinder on the passenger door.
What year is your C4?

I honestly don't if I have a keyed cylinder on the passenger do or if the one on the driver's side even works: I have always used my PKE. I guess I should check!

I had the same problem with the drivers side lock when I bought my '85. I had to unlock the passenger's (yup, I have one) side and hit the unlock button. I fixed it when I redid the interior and had the door panel off. The plastic clip on the lock cylinder was the culprit. A real pain to get to.

I have an '88.. the key won't turn in it at all. It was working just fine a few days back. I locked my keys in my car, and my dad decided that he was smarter than the car and tried to put his vast collection of keys in the lock and try to get it unlocked with one of those. Of course, it didn't work. I eventually had to put a bent metal rod through my broken weatherstripping and press the unlock button.
