Please help me. My 88 vette keeps throwing code 33. I cant fix it. I replaced the MAF sensor 3 times and still does not fix problem. Dont know whats wrong. I heard the K&N filter oil can mess with it so I cleaned the element and installed dry and code 33 still sets. Does anyone have a suggestion?
There are 2 relays, the maf power and maf burn off relay. They are both on the same bracket behind battery. They are under $10 each so you may as well replace both.

Replace both power relays at the same time, per Gorden Killebrew and personal experience, if you don't you will have a repeat of the problem
Also, and again Gorden helped me with this down at Cruise In VI. two things can occur
1) dirty connections where the harness mates with the MAF sensor and
2) loose pin connections inside the harness.
To take care of #1, liberally spray the connections with electical contact cleaner or 93% isopropyl Alcohol
To take care of # 2. take a very small pick and kind of tighten up the female sockets
