Default Rear end clunking

For the past week or so I have heard this little clunk/creak noise comming from the rear of the car when I let the clutch out. You cannot hear it with the window up, and unless you are parked next to something or close to something like a wall or other car the noise is really faint. Anyway I jacked it up and checked all the u joints (drive shaft and half shaft) thinking I had crushed the needles in one but they were all fine. Then low and behold the rear spring end links caught my attention, Holy Crap the rubber bushings are beat all to heck and comming apart. The right bushing in the "Batwing" is starting to crack and disinegrate as well. So I'm pretty sure I found where the noise is comming from. The rear "4"link bushings look fine but the front A arms are cracking and its starting to "squeak" over bumps bad.
My question is this: Is this common in these cars when you drag race them alot?? The car is a 92 6spd and has 67,000 miles on it now and it had 54,000 on it when I bought it back in Feb 2005. Could this just be from the car sitting alot before I bought it?? I've raced it quite a bit lately and been on a lot of road trips to see family and stuff since I got back in the states, not to mention getting PCS'ed to VA. I can provide pics if anyone is intrested in actually seeing the bushing damage in question.
Secondly a couple of people have stated that the Poly bushings absolutely killed their drag strip launch. I'd like to hear more opionions from people who have them installed on their ride on that one.
thanks guys
Will
