New best....equivalent to a 7sec run!
Saturday I went 0 to 120MPH in 3 sec!
On a ride at Cedar point...which is the Top Thriller Dragster.
Went there for a weekend of screwing around , and there is their new ride which is suppose to simulate a top fuel draster going down the 1/4 mile.
Obviously it is much less powerful then a top fuel dragster, but still reaches 120-124MPH in 3 sec. Which is cooking pretty good. The feel is AWESOME! I fiigured its about what a 7.2sec pass down the 1/4 mile would be like. Its pulls some serious Gs!
At first I was sorta disappointed while waiting in line watching it, cause the ride launches you out from a dead stop only about 330 ft straight out to 120-124MPH and then you climb literally STRAIGHT up 420 ft and barely make it over the crest of the hill where you then drop STAIGHT, actually a little under itself, which makes you loose your marbels for a second, then you come sailing down to where it levels off.
The ride is pretty awesome after going on it. I was pretty impressed, even though disappointed at how many people standing in line believe it is faster or equivalent to a TOP fuel dragster. I explained to our group that it was NOTHING even close to what those guys experience, since in almost the same amount of time, they are going nearly 3 times as fast, in the tad bit more time!
I can honestly say, after feeling that ride, I have NO IDEA how they can drive those cars effectively down the strip. I have seen them in person and you couldn't pay me enough to drive one down the strip. Those guys have some serious marbels to do what weekend after weekend!
I know the one mechanic, local guy growing up around here, that is a mechanic for the Miller Highlife Top fuel dragter, and he told me long ago, that you couldn't get him out of the electric chair and into that this for a pass! I agree they are a special breed!
If you are out in OH, the ride is worth stopping in for! Its pretty cool.

As to how.....get use to watching a blur, keep wheel straight, and look for the lights
As to marbles, no I think they have brass ones
