Stumped!! Driver's window overextending
A few weeks ago, I noticed that my driver's side window is making a thunking sound when it goes all the way down. And when I extend it, it will overextend about 1/2" to where it is scraping the paint, and not letting the door properly shut. So, I have to drive with it not all the way up to keep this from happening. Is it just not seated right on the rack or am I looking at a bigger problem....thanks in advance!

Sounds like the "upstop" limiter is toast. It is a cheap plastic item from any GM dealer. Easy to replace, one bolt once you get the door skin off. If your going to replace one, trust me, replace both. The plastic get brittle over time and it just disingrates. Happened to mine, replaced no problem.

If it is the front stop, coat the new one in JB Weld or something like that to reinforce it.
