Please help-flickering dash display
Hi
The main display (speed, fuel level, odometer, etc.) on my '91 coupe has started to act up. This appears to happen most at night with my headlights on. The display will intermittantly gorw dim, then return to a brighter setting, then grow dim again and so on.
I just had my alternator professionally rebuilt to original specs (105 amps) and it checks out good.
I don't have any signs of dimming with the tach or smaller guages such as oil pressure, temp, etc.
The dimmer switch seems to work OK initialy with all the dash lights, then just the main display starts to act up as I've described.
Can anyone relate to what I'm going through? Is it the display that's bad? Is it the dimmer switch? If it's the display, is it just some dash bulbs, or is it the digital display itself that may need replacement?
I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
