Quick tuning tips
I just got my spare engine put back together, stock 350, iron heads, 58mm tb, 230/236 on a 114 cam. everything else is stock. I'm running an accel DFI Gen7 with a dual sync distributor (rear mount).
The problem that I'm having is that i've got to crack the TB blades a little to get the car to idle properly. But when I push the gas just off idle to come off a stop sign the car starts to die.
If I push the break and then the throttle then let off the break to go from a stop it works just fine. Or if I have rolling momentum I seem to be fine.
Is there an easy way of tuning this out? What should I start playing with to fix it? I've never been too good at tuning so I'm hoping to learn something from all of this. Thanks.

Besides I had this TB setup on my old engine a month ago and everything worked fine on it, smaller cam that's why we had to fix the TB plates otherwise there was too much of a vaccuum leak.
Its definately a tuning issue, I'm going to try and add some extra timing to the idle and see if that helps.
