Default Soundclips please!!

Hey whatsup guys. Finally got my paycheck comin in for the past 2 weeks, should be close to 1000 (yeah im 17 and live at home, so this is good money). im lookin to buy exhaust very soon, and have come to either the magnaflow catback, or the corsa catback. different people have different opinions on the sounds, so i was just curious if i could get some soundclips somewhere. thanks alot in advance!!!

I always try to look for a cheap route since I am still on college, and low on funds usually, haha... So Here's what I got on my 91 L98 exhaust wise:

new custom 2.5 piping(true duals) all the way back- 60$
Eliminated cat/pre-cats--
Custom x-pipe- 20$
Flowtech Manual Cutouts of Ebay- 45$
x2 "universal Borla Pro XS' Mufflers of ebay new: 90$
tips---- (previous owner had tips welded on this car, and i liked the look so kept em)

total: 215.00$ roughly
--------------
i wanted cutouts for every now and then, so bought some manual ones, rather then the topnoth electric qp cutouts which go for around 300$ if i remember right. A x-pipe or at least h-pipe is a must i would say. Sounds a lot smoother at wot and supposedly helps a bit with HP, who knows,,, not me.

OH!!! also completely forgot to note. I do have LT Headers also, so that made some difference in sound as well, more of a low rumble i guess... definetly an impovement on sounds/ hp,tq gains

Here's the Vid: www.rf-productions.com/C4ExhaustCFforums.wmv
sorry I don't have inside video of the cutouts as well. I personaly like the borla sound better,,, but the cutouts can be a lot of fun at certain times too...

Unless you're just dead set on Corsa I would take that $1000 and put it towards something that will actually give you more horsepower AND sound pleasure. There are plenty of companies that make good quality aftermarket mufflers that will give you a good sound (IMHO better than corsa ) and you could use the extra money to put on a set of long tube headers which will actually give you some horsepower. $800+ for a Corsa exhaust system is about the least effective thing you can possibly do from a $/hp standpoint.

dave your car sounds sick. My father just bought me the car and we're just doing the normal stuff to make it run better, ive already done an oil change, air filter, new plugs, and im replacing the shocks this weekend (KYB). ive got about 2000 comin to me in the next month and he just wants to do the cat back, it was a michigan car, so the end of the exhaust is kinda rusty, thats why he wants to change it. after the exhaust is taken care of the only other real thing ive gotta take care of is the sound system, cant drive it to school my senior year without havin somethin to listen too (besides the exhaust ) so ill show my dad this thread and see what he says, thanks everybody!
