I think I posted this thread in the wrong section......I just found out my piston rings are bad and leak oil, so the shop has got to take apart my engine and rebuild, they said they will end up replacing the crank, pistons and piston rods and a few other things and the end result will be a 391 ci engine. I've been listening to everyone talk about their 383 conversion so I'm looking at doing that too. Right now I have a nice set of heads/cam/superram and other goodies on the engine and pushing 265hp/335tq rear wheel, I'm wondering what more I can expect with a good 383 conversion kit, not a cast set--I was told I'm looking at the most $3500 for the rebuild and parts. Is this right, or does somebody wanna do this for me for a lower price and do a great job!! I just got a chip burned already-but its just a bit on the rich side still. I live in Florida
