Default temp gauge

I have a 1990 L98 convertible. I have been thinking for a while that it had a problem with the cooling fans not coming on, but come to realize the gauge just reads real hot. The fans kick on at 230 like they are supposed to but the gauge is almost showing overheating. Does any one else have this problem? I change the temp switch already.

One of the reasons they added the disclosure sticker (gauges not lenier) for the secondary analog gauges in `92.

Man that seems HOT! I put in my 90 a 160 T Stat and got a sensor to turn the fans on earlier than 230deg. Now she runs nice and cool. I also bypassed the hot coolant going into the Throttle Body to keep the air charge cooler. COOL THAT BABY DOWN
